Draft — not yet final
This is placeholder wording awaiting review by an attorney. It describes how Positura actually works today and we intend to stand behind it, but the final language may differ.
Positura is a tool that clinics use to send patients their home exercise programs. These terms cover using it — both as a patient who has been given a link and as a clinic prescribing through it.
What Positura is
Your clinician decides what you should be doing; Positura shows you what they decided, and keeps track of what you have done. It does not diagnose anything, does not choose your exercises, and does not give you advice of its own.
Positura is not medical advice
Nothing here replaces the judgement of the clinician treating you. Exercise carries risk, and only the person who examined you can say what is safe for you.
- Follow the program your clinician prescribed, at the dosage they set.
- Stop if an exercise causes pain, numbness, tingling, dizziness or anything else that worries you, and speak to your clinician.
- If something feels wrong, trust that over what the screen says.
- For a medical emergency, call your local emergency number — never use this app to report one.
Your link
You do not have an account. Your program opens from a private link, which is the only key to it, so keep it to yourself. If it gets out — or if you lose it — ask your clinic and they will issue a new one.
Please do not try to reach anyone else’s program, guess at links, or interfere with how the service runs.
What we do with your information
Your information is used only to deliver your exercise program, and never for marketing. The privacy page sets out what is held and who can see it, and it forms part of these terms.
For clinics
If your practice prescribes through Positura, then:
- You are responsible for the clinical decisions you make — which exercises, which dosage, for which patient.
- You are responsible for having the patient’s agreement to be added, and for what you enter about them.
- Enter only what the app asks for. Positura is deliberately built without fields for diagnoses, dates of birth, surnames or clinical notes; do not work around that by hiding such information in a field meant for something else.
- Patient records belong to the practice, not to an individual practitioner.
- Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
Availability
We work to keep Positura running, but it is a web service: it will occasionally be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Do not rely on it as the only copy of anything that matters, and do not rely on a reminder arriving in order to do something medically important.
Limits
Positura is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from exercises you were prescribed, from clinical decisions made using the app, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The precise wording of this section, and the governing law it sits under, are pending review by an attorney.
Ending it
You can stop using Positura at any time — ask your clinic to remove you and your record goes with it. A practice can close its account by contacting us. We may suspend access that is being used to harm someone or to break the service.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use Positura after that means the updated terms apply.
